The graphic above helps to see a clearer picture for our Youth Ministry program along with the Family Formation. This is used as a guide of what's available for Middle School andHigh School Students.
As our Middle Schoolers walk the path of discipleship, following Jesus, we highly encourage them to participate with their family in the Emmaus Family of Faith sessions, the at home work, and pizza and prayer. In our mind, Emmaus is the ideal place for Middle Schoolers to continue their faith formation in the heart of the family. But as they begin to grow independent of home, we also want to provide them a place to socialize, have fun, and learn more about Jesus through the twice-a-month Middle School Youth Group.
Wednesdays | 6:00pm - 7:15pm at St. Francis Xavier
On Wednesday evenings when Family Formation nights are not being held, Middle School Youth Group will be offered for all teens in grades 6-8 from 6:00pm to 7:15pm at St. Francis Xavier.
Our goal is to help teens develop lasting, life-giving Christian friendships with their peers and grow in their relationship with Jesus. We strive to cultivate a community that is rooted in the Catholic Faith, where your teen will be equipped to flourish as a human being and as a disciple of Christ. It is a great supplement to family faith formation, as it gives your kids the opportunity to socialize with like-minded people who are their age, and experience the faith in a fun and vibrant community.
Middle School Youth Group is completely optional, but highly recommended for all middle school youth. We recommend registering your teen so that we can ensure you are a part of the email communications (via Flocknote), even if your child cannot attend every single week.
There is no set fee to participate in Youth Group, however, to help cover the cost of food, technology, materials, etc., a donation amount of $50 to $100 per teen would be greatly appreciated.
