Purpose The purpose of the sacred music program at St. Francis Xavier Church is to encourage lifelong formation in music learning and knowledge and to foster a greater love and reverence for the sacred liturgy. To this end, participants will engage in a program which includes prayerful meditation on Church teachings and lectionary readings, growth in vocal techniques and music literacy, and singing sacred music in the Catholic tradition to the glory of God.
